Frequently asked questions

The client took the work and did not pay. What does the platform do?
We do not hold your money and we do not arbitrate — that line does not move. What we do is put the record together for you: a content hash of every version of the contract, when each side signed, who submitted and who approved each milestone and when, and the full conversation that neither side can delete or unsend. You can export all of it and take it to mediation or a small-claims court.
Do I have to issue a tax invoice to the client?
What we generate is a request for payment, which can carry the client's registered name and tax number — it is not a government tax invoice. In most countries an individual freelancer does not issue one: the client reports the payment and withholds at source. If you trade through a company, use your own invoice and attach ours.
How do I handle tax on what I earn here?
Freelance income is usually taxed as professional income, so you can deduct costs — the tool defaults to 30% and you can change it or itemise. Taiwan, Japan and the United States are built in: income tax and any per-payment health or social surcharge are estimated together. Other countries get income, expenses and cash flow, but no tax estimate yet. It is an estimate, not a filing.
A client abroad wants to hire me. Can I take it?
Matching on the platform stays inside one country: a job posted in a country is only visible to — and open to bids from — people in that country. Work you find outside the platform is not restricted at all: invoices, contracts, time, expenses and cash flow all work on it. It is the matching that is split by country, not the tools.
If I win nothing this month, what did my membership buy?
Everything you need to run the business side on your own: invoices, a finance dashboard, a client roster, time tracking, expenses with tax estimates, and three months of cash flow. They work just as well on jobs you found elsewhere, so the fee is not a ticket to bid.
How many people will I be competing with?
At most 25. A job stops taking proposals once it is full, which is why every proposal gets read and why you will never bid into a pile of two hundred. Busy categories raise that cap in line with the last seven days of demand, but it never drops below 25.
What does it cost?
Posting a job is free, always: no listing fee and no limit on how many. Freelancers pay $18 a month, or $180 a year — the same as ten months. New accounts get 90 days free with no card, and nothing is charged when it ends.
